Slow Metabolism? This Plays a Huge Role
Understanding Metabolism.
A malfunctioning metabolism leads to excessive fuel storage and inability to utilize it, resulting in weight gain and various health problems including brain fog, digestive issues, fatigue, diabetes, and cancer.
Contrary to popular belief, metabolism is not fixed at birth. It can be altered. The key, discovered through years of clinical experience and research, is liver cleansing to enhance fat burning.
The Liver's Role.
The liver acts as a filter eliminating toxins, aiding digestion, and regulating hormones and blood sugar. It's a crucial multitasker and the central organ through which the body's energy flows.
An unhealthy liver leads to fat accumulation, particularly around the midsection, hindering access to essential nutrients for fat burning. This makes weight loss extremely difficult regardless of diet.
Does this sound familiar?
Numerous diets advocate for certain 'good foods' and avoidance of 'bad foods'. The categorization of meat, grains, butter, legumes, ketones, potatoes, tofu, and canola oil as good or bad is constantly evolving. In reality, fat, carbs, and ketones function collectively as fuel. A healthy liver can either store or burn fuel, while an unhealthy liver can only store it. The liver treats all fuel sources equally, with no magical cures or villains. This implies that once liver health is restored, consuming a piece of cake won't be detrimental. Your metabolism will be flexible enough to adapt and handle any dietary challenges.
This is excellent news. The even better news is that liver healing takes only weeks, not months or years. The liver is incredibly resilient. By following the steps outlined in this book, you can restore your liver to optimal functioning in just a few weeks.
The Path of Fuel.
Your liver stores energy in two forms: glycogen and triglycerides. When healthy, it maintains a supply of both fuels, with room for more. Triglycerides are the most efficient form of stored energy. The liver can create them from any source – carbs, fats, ketones, even alcohol. They store a lot of energy and occupy little space.
Glycogen is more specific. It is made solely from carbohydrates and contains less energy. It has one advantage over triglycerides – glycogen's stored energy is more accessible. Burning triglycerides for fuel is easier when glycogen is present to initiate the process. Think of triglycerides as coal and glycogen as lighter fluid.
Here's where problems arise. When the liver is overloaded with triglycerides, there's no space for glycogen. Without glycogen, burning triglycerides for fuel becomes difficult, preventing their removal. When new fuel is introduced from the last meal and the liver is already full, it can only store more triglycerides or send the excess to be stored as body fat.
Ultimately, the source of fuel – carbs, dietary fat, ketones, body fat, or alcohol – doesn't matter. Excess fuel turns into triglycerides. Too many triglycerides clog the liver, increase body fat, and lead to disease.
A Fresh Perspective.
The liver's central role explains why low-fat, low-carb, and ketogenic diets offer no unique advantage. Restricting one fuel source while increasing another leads to no benefit. For those with poor liver function, distinguishing between “good” and “bad” food is a distraction.
Restoring liver function enables healthy weight maintenance without excessive effort. You'll have more energy, sleep better, and have a lower risk of heart disease and various cancers.
The Metabolism Reset Diet works because it addresses the root cause of a slow metabolism – an overloaded liver. The program provides optimal conditions for the liver to clear its backlog of fuel, restore proper function, and regain metabolic flexibility that might have been absent since childhood.
