4 Quick Breakfasts Beyond Cereal
Some people arrive at work looking perfectly polished, mentioning their leisurely breakfast while others prioritize sleep and skip breakfast altogether.
Since breakfast is important, here are quick and healthy options beyond cereal:
4 Quick Breakfast Options Beyond Dry Cereal
1. OVERNIGHT OATS
Overnight oats, a popular choice, are made by combining oatmeal, plain yogurt, and honey and refrigerating them overnight. They are convenient, mess-free, and nutritious.
2. MICROWAVE EGGS
To make breakfast in a mason jar, crack two eggs, add a dash of milk and salt, then place the jar in your bag. At work, remove the lid and microwave in 30-second intervals until the whites are solid but yolks are slightly runny. Stir to create creamy scrambled eggs.
3. COTTAGE CHEESE
Although yogurt is popular for breakfast, it can be bland, especially plain yogurt, and flavored yogurt is often high in sugar. Cottage cheese, on the other hand, is rich in protein and naturally sweet, making it a great base for banana slices, berries, and a little granola.
4. LAST NIGHT’S LEFTOVERS
I enjoy eating dinner for breakfast. Lean chicken or pork with half an avocado makes a great breakfast. Bean soups and rich stews are also good with a fried egg on top. But my favorite easy breakfast is leftover Indian or Chinese food. If you haven't had day-old channa masala or chow mein with coffee, you're missing out.
